“Best phone manual ever!”

Works for me as an ad but I tend not to read manuals anyway… it’s a sweet idea for communicating how to use your new complicated gadget though, instead of relying on on-screen instructions.

Good find @JohnOxton

John’s Phone, by John Doe, Amsterdam.

John’s Phone is the world’s most basic cell phone. John’s Phone allows you to make and receive calls anywhere in the world: no frills and no unnecessary features such as a camera, text messaging and an endless number of ringtones. John’s Phone keeps things simple.

Been talk about doing something like this for a while, reminded me a little of Ideo’s Simply project for Vodaphone, or the brainstorming we did studying Interaction Design when thinking of products for grandpeople. Interesting that somebody has put money where their mouth is…
And that it attracts designy types.
