New Photos - ECA degreeshow 2010

Didn’t take too many photos (wasn’t sure if I should really be taking ANY) but enjoyed the ECA degree show all the same!! It did make me feel a little over practical - guess I really am not an artist, certainly the bulk of the work here went straight over my head!!

Exciting day

Been to the gym, the bank, and back to the bank, uni and I voted! Hoping to finally decide on a ‘new sound’ for the ipod application which is still making a breathing noise currently when you switch it on and off… I also need to try the postcard packaging out on the laser cutter - it’s going to look sweet! Pablo suggested engraving the text on the front / back, kind of like he did with his camera… or maybe something like the graze box?

I really like the aesthetic of brown packaging. The postcards should really be ordered asap, still waiting on a couple from the lecturers though.

I’ve got the weekend to rehearse my presentation, got it planned out etc and I’m normally good at this type of thing - I used to have to memorise scripts so memorising bullet points should be alright!

Staying up for a bit to see who wins the election, so far I am not happy!

Gosh, a degree show is hard work.

Spent today fixing and finishing vinyl orders for everyones titles, names, hundred words, and the two BIG Interactive Media Design. Spent what felt like forever at a print place with my laptop and illustrator trying to get everything the same on a windows machine and it be big enough for print etc… sigh. Oh and then I did this: 

Made an illustrator template for a postcard holder, going to lasercut them in maybe brown card, to resemble something you’d get in the post. New Designers is only going to be more work…! Oh yeah and dealt with everyone’s content / details again, forwarded them on to Mike Vanis who is very kindly doing our degree show website. I need to do some work for my own project now!!
