Hello, I'm Calum Pringle Interaction Designer working and living in London, this is a collection of my thoughts.

Brain. Wave. Com. (I am uncool).

Courtesy of mum Pringle, I may have a proper project…. but may also have far more work than I thought. It’s always dangerous making assumptions of your user group, as a designer, and I was close to forcing myself into making some before my focus group(s) that WILL happen…

I had been thinking that the object that I craft would be similar to a piece of jewelry like a necklace or brooch (thinking Alan Newll here and his talking brooch; who I am talking to on Wednesday) but for some reason hadn’t thought more… laterally? Outside the box?

Why not a scarf? There is something so intrinsically comforting and mature about a scarf that it really makes me… feel good about my project. It reminded me of the book  “Fashionable Technology” by Sabine Seymour which has a vast collection of examples technology being implemented in fashion and wearable garments…

(excuse the shameless clippings but I’m excited…)

SO off to sleep… or research how I could get this to work :D
