If you’re looking for a book to read, try this- “City” by Alessandro Baricco. Only half way through but I’ve finally got into the writing style. Boy genius, imaginary friends. Meets an equally odd oddball of a person… Makes you think about humanity, relationships etc (Taken with instagram)

Text to speech from a more ‘normal’ position… ( although you still type rather than speak… so position isn’t fundamentally a big change. ) It’d be fun to play with though; see how this changes the dynamic of conversation with somebody using a traditional aac device / app.  (You’re still hunched over typing though…. right? Then the sound coming from *closer* to the mouth maybe doesn’t matter anymore? ) Definitely good to see some exploration of anything wearable though.

Nice site, nice work. The narrative / film style reminds me a little of Howl (who’s illustration I actually didn’t like at all - looks dated) but this - in a good way. Like.

“It is not very often that we have the opportunity to create a graphic equivalent of a drug fueled rant bringing all of our collective skills to bear. And it is almost unfathomable that we could actually do something like this and benefit a good cause.

The Buck team dug deep, channeling our inner gonzo, to direct and produce this homage promoting Good Books, the online bookseller that passes all its profits through to Oxfam. A big thanks to String Theory in NZ for bringing us this script, Antfood for their amazing audio stylings, to Thor for giving his voice and to all the artists who made this something we are proud of.”

Thanks Emily!

“If you have a visual disability, then having your kitchen set up in the right way is essential to avoid the many risks that could occur. The RNIB and other charities work tirelessly to provide gadgets and inventions which can make the kitchen a safer place and somewhere you can independently access everything you need. One of their inventions is the talking tin lids, a truly great idea.”

Pretty amazing tree houses. I can imagine that bridge and zip line *might* become a frustrating way to get home…!

“Reflection” - Your iPhone / iPad, On your Mac. Handy for showing big screen apps - always a bit awkward if you find an app you want to talk about but have to pass the iPad around the room… especially if it’s part of a presentation. So this makes sense, BUT I wonder what it looks like when you touch it? I’d expect a big hand on the screen… or finger prints.
